Wild Deaf/HOH Hockey Kick Off Event



The Minnesota Wild Deaf/Hard of Hearing Hockey program, is kicking off its inaugural season with a special event from 2:45 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24, at the St. Louis Park Rec Center.

Everyone is welcome to join us that day, where you can learn about the program AND get yourself on the ice* for skating, competitions, and more! Feel free to come and go as you like. Check out the event agenda below for more details. We are so excited to celebrate the latest diversified hockey program in Minnesota, proving that in the “State of Hockey,” hockey is for everyBODY!

Agenda

  • 2:45 - 3:30: Program Presentation

  • 3:30 - Close: Registration to Program

  • 3:30 - Close: Let’s Play Hockey – ASL Video

  • 3:30 - 4:15: Preparation for Ice Time by Coaches/Players

  • 3:45 - 5:45: Ice Time ‘Try Hockey’ by Coaches/Players

  • 3:45-4:15: Open Ice*

  • 4:15-5: Small Area Competitions – with giveaways

  • 5-5:30: Possible Short Scrimmage

  • 5:30-6: Change Locker Rooms

  • 4 - 6:15: Meet the Program

*If you plan to participate in the Ice Time, you must bring your own equipment. Required equipment for Open Ice includes helmet and skates. To participate in competitions, a helmet, skates, and a hockey stick are required.
